WordCamp Rajshahi 2026 opens with Contributor Day on 2 July at RUET Auditorium Hall, the day the community rolls up its sleeves and gives back to WordPress together. None of it happens without Table Leads.
A Table Lead guides a small group through real contributions on the day, whether that is fixing a bug, translating a string, writing documentation, or testing a release. You do not need to be the world expert. You need to know your way around your area, and you need to enjoy helping other people take their first step.
If that sounds like you, we want you to lead a table at the very first Contributor Day in the Silk City.

What a Table Lead Actually Does
On Contributor Day you will:
- Welcome people to your table and break the ice, especially for first-timers
- Explain what your area contributes to WordPress and how the day will run
- Set a few achievable goals so everyone leaves having contributed something real
- Guide participants hands-on, unblock them, and answer questions
- Keep the table inclusive, friendly, and productive from start to finish
Your job is not to do the work yourself. It is to help a room full of people make their first contribution and want to come back for their second.
Why Become a Table Lead?
Make a real impact. The contributors you onboard today become the community that carries WordPress forward. Many long-time contributors started at a table exactly like yours.
Grow as a leader. Leading a table sharpens how you teach, mentor, and run a room. It is a low-pressure, high-reward way to build those skills.
Get recognized. Table Leads are featured on our website and event materials, and credited as part of the team that made the first WordCamp Rajshahi happen.
Build connections. You will meet contributors, organizers, and fellow leads from across Bangladesh and beyond.
Who Can Apply?
We are looking for people who:
- Know their way around their chosen area on make.wordpress.org
- Have contributed to WordPress before, or clearly understand how contribution works in their area
- Communicate well and can guide a small group with patience
- Are genuinely excited about creating a welcoming space for new contributors
New to leading but strong on the subject? Apply anyway. Our team will support you and help you prepare so you can run your table with confidence.
Tables You Could Lead
Pick the area where you can help others contribute. On Contributor Day, you can lead one of these tables:
- Accessibility Table
- Core AI Table
- Core Table
- Community Table
- CLI Table
- Documentation Table
- Education Table
- Hosting Table
- Polyglots Table
- Photos Table
- Plugins Development Table
- Support Table
- Training Table
- Themes Table
- Test Table
In the application you can choose up to three tables and tell us your first and second preferences, so we can place you where you will have the most impact.
How a Table Runs
Contributor Day is collaborative and low-key. At your table you can mix:
- Roundtable discussion to plan what the group will tackle
- A short walkthrough or presentation to get everyone oriented
- Step-by-step, hands-on guidance as people contribute
You decide the shape that suits your area and your group. However you run it, the goal is the same: everyone leaves having contributed something and knowing how to do it again.
Even if you know the subject well but have never led a session, feel free to apply. We will give you full support and a quick prep so you can present and guide effectively on the day.
What to Prepare Before You Apply
The form is short, just two sections: your details and your table preferences. Have these ready:
- Your full name, email, nationality, and current city
- Your WordPress.org profile URL (create one here if you do not have it)
- Up to three tables you would like to lead, with your first and second choices
- A short reason for each choice: your experience and what you would bring
- A short third-person bio in under 200 words, for the website and event materials
- Any past experience guiding, mentoring, or contributing (optional)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an expert? No. You need solid working knowledge of your area and the patience to guide others. Deep mastery is welcome but not required.
I have never led a table before. Can I still apply? Yes. We provide support and a short prep so first-time leads can run their table confidently.
Can I lead more than one table? You apply with up to three preferences, but you will be assigned one table so you can focus on doing it well.
Do I need to bring materials? Not necessarily. Many tables run on discussion and live guidance. If a short walkthrough helps your area, you are welcome to prepare one.
