ℹ️ Note: Contributor Day is free to join and optional, but we encourage all attendees to participate. It requires separate registration. You must have a valid WordCamp Rajshahi ticket to attend.

What is Contributor Day?

Contributor Day is a dedicated time for attendees to give back to the WordPress project. It’s a collaborative, hands-on day where people of all skill levels — technical or non-technical — can make meaningful contributions to different WordPress teams. Whether it’s writing code, translating strings, improving documentation, testing, or community outreach, there’s something for everyone.

How It Works

  • Table Leads — Each “Make WordPress” team has one or more table leads who guide discussion and contributors in their area.
  • Multiple Teams — You can join one or several teams: Core, Themes, Polyglots, Documentation, Testing, Plugins, Design, Support, Community, and more.
  • Orientation Session — A short session kicks things off to get everyone familiar with processes, tooling, and contribution guidelines.
  • Human Mentorship — One-on-one time with experienced contributors to help answer questions and navigate contribution challenges.
  • Open Format — Switch tables, ask questions, take breaks. Flexibility based on your interest and comfort level.

  • If you plan to contribute to code or docs, bring a laptop.

  • Be ready to ask, learn, collaborate, and enjoy.
