6 Years of Remote WordPress Work — What I Learned About Support, DFY, and Staying Efficient

Jakir Hosen

I’ve been working remotely for about 6 years, split between handling client support and being part of a Done-For-You implementation team. On the DFY side, we basically build everything for the client’s WordPress sites, BuddyBoss community apps, hosting setup, app store publishing, push notifications, migrations, the whole thing. And on the support side, I’m constantly communicating with clients, troubleshooting issues, and managing multiple cases at the same time.

Both of these together can get really overwhelming really fast. That’s honestly what pushed me to start using AI seriously in my workflow. Not just for writing but for thinking through problems, drafting technical responses, finding patterns in issues, automating parts of the process that I was doing manually over and over again.

In this talk, I want to show what that actually looks like day to day. How I handle a frustrated client message with AI help. How I use it to speed up DFY tasks like onboarding, documentation, or debugging. And how it changed the way I think about remote work in general.

It’s not about replacing the human side of the work; it’s about making room to do it better.
