WordCamp Rajshahi 2026 deserves a venue that matches the occasion. And we think we found it.
On 2nd and 3rd July, WordCamp Rajshahi 2026 will be held at the Auditorium Hall of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, better known as RUET. It is one of the most well-equipped event spaces in the region, sitting at the heart of one of Bangladesh’s most respected public universities.
A Campus Built for Ideas
RUET is situated in the northern part of Bangladesh, in the city of Rajshahi, the educational center of North Bengal. The campus has been described as representing a spectacular harmony of architecture and natural beauty, covering approximately 152 acres. It sits at Kazla, five kilometers east of Rajshahi city, on the north side of the Rajshahi-Natore-Dhaka highway.
What started as Rajshahi Engineering College in 1964 grew into Bangladesh Institute of Technology in 1986, and finally became the full-fledged Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) in 2003. Today it is one of the most prominent engineering institutions in the country, with over approximately 3,500 students and 250 faculty members.
This is not just a university. It is a place where some of the brightest engineering and technology minds in Bangladesh study, research, and build. Hosting WordCamp here feels right.
The Auditorium
The RUET Auditorium Complex is a modern facility with a seating capacity of approximately 700, designed to hold conferences, seminars, and cultural programs. It sits near the academic area of the campus and has hosted everything from national industry seminars to large-scale university events.
The space is well suited for WordCamp. Sessions, keynotes, workshops, and Contributor Day activities will all take place here across both days.
Getting There
RUET is about a 10-minute drive from Rajshahi Railway Station and the main bus terminal, and approximately 20 minutes from Shah Makhdum Airport. Auto rickshaws, and CNGs are available around the clock from all major terminals.
Whether you are coming from within Rajshahi or travelling in from another city, getting to the venue is straightforward.
